Piotr Markiełaŭ studied theoretical physics in Belarusian State University, but was expelled twice in connection to his political activities.
He several times run as a candidate on local elections and organised election observation to bring public attention to problems of self-government, fair elections and criminalisation of drug users.
Piotr is a campaign intern at End The Drug War campaign of Students For Liberty. He is also serving as the communications director for Legalize Belarus civic education and advocacy campaign.
